Instructor Q&A

Everything You Need to Know About Partnering with the Sports & Entertainment Institute

Q1: What is the Sports & Entertainment Institute?

The Sports & Entertainment Institute is a professional education and training platform designed to highlight experts, athletes, and creative professionals.
We produce high-quality, curriculum-based courses that teach, inspire, and empower others in the areas of sports, business, media, and entertainment.

Q2: How is this different from platforms like YouTube or Udemy?

We’re not an open content-sharing or self-service course site.
The Institute is a professional education and media brand — every course is vetted, branded, and approved for quality, accuracy, and presentation.
Instructors don’t just upload videos; they collaborate with our curriculum and production team to develop structured, outcome-based educational programs.

✅ Think MasterClass meets LinkedIn Learning, focused on the world of sports and entertainment.

Q3: Who can become an instructor?

Instructors must have verifiable experience, credentials, or professional expertise related to the course topic.
You don’t need to be a celebrity — you just need real experience, a story to share, and a passion for teaching others.

Q4: What is the Course Setup & Curriculum Review Fee for?

The fee covers the full setup, review, and production process for your course.
It includes curriculum design support, branding, technical setup, marketing, and publication.
Each course requires a separate fee since every one goes through its own professional setup and approval process.

Q5: Do I have to pay the Course Setup & Curriculum Review Fee before I’m approved?

No.
You first submit your Instructor Application and Course Proposal.
If your concept is approved in principle, you’ll receive an invitation to move forward — payment is due only after approval and before development begins.

Q6: Can I offer more than one course?

Yes!
You can offer multiple courses.
Each new course will go through its own curriculum review and branding process and will require a separate setup fee.

Q7: How does the revenue split work?

For every course sale:

  • The Institute retains 40% (covers hosting, support, and marketing).
  • The remaining 60% goes to the instructor(s).

If more than one instructor is listed, the 60% is divided equally among co-instructors (up to four per course).

Q8: When do I get paid?

Instructor payouts are processed on a Net-30 schedule after each calendar month.
This allows time for refunds, verifications, and accounting.
Payments are issued monthly via PayPal, e-check, or bank transfer with a full earnings statement.

Q9: What if a student requests a refund?

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all courses.
If a refund occurs within that time, it’s deducted before payouts are processed.
After 7 days, all sales are final.

Q10: Who owns the course content?

Courses are considered jointly owned intellectual property:

  • Instructors retain rights to their likeness and raw materials.
  • The Institute retains rights to the branded, edited version and holds a perpetual license to host, promote, and sell it.
Instructors are always credited, even if the partnership ends.

Q11: What kind of courses can I create?

Courses at the Sports & Entertainment Institute are designed to educate, empower, and elevate professionals, athletes, families, and leaders connected to the sports and entertainment world.
Whether you’re on the field, behind the scenes, or raising the next generation of champions, your experience can inspire others.
